HB2 Out-of-School Time Request for Proposals

The New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) is pleased to announce the release of the HB2 State-Funded Out-of-School Time (OST) Request for Proposals (RFP). The HB2 OST program supports high-quality learning opportunities outside of the regular instructional day that reinforce and complement academic programs while supporting student engagement, attendance, and well-being. Programs may take place before school, after school, during the summer, or during school intersessions.

Programs funded through HB2 OST must supplement, not replace, the regular instructional day and must demonstrate a measurable benefit to participating students and families through structured enrichment, youth development, family engagement, and community partnerships. Eligible applicants include local education agencies, charter schools, tribal education departments, community-based organizations, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, and other public or private entities, including partnerships among these groups. Interested applicants should review the full RFP and submission requirements below.
