TEACH New Mexico (TEACHNewMexico.org) is a statewide initiative of the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) dedicated to strengthening the teacher pipeline and providing high-impact recruitment support to aspiring NM teachers, local education agencies (LEAs), educator preparation programs (EPPs), and the leaders that support them – at no cost.

TEACH New Mexico is a one-stop-shop for individuals exploring or pursuing a career in teaching—and a powerful partner to the leaders who support them. Our platform equips future educators with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to navigate licensure and teacher preparation options in NM – at no cost.

In addition to supporting future teachers directly, TEACH New Mexico partners with school and community leaders to amplify existing recruitment efforts, spotlight Grow Your Own initiatives, and extend the capacity of districts and schools through targeted outreach, 1:1 and group advising, financial support, and educator prep program selection.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Katy MacCornack, M.Ed., Recruitment & Retention Coordinator, at katy.maccornack@ped.nm.gov.

Looking to strengthen your local teacher pipeline? TEACH New Mexico offers free 1:1 coaching, licensure guidance, and financial support for aspiring educators—so your school or district leaders don’t have to navigate it alone.
