Welcome

The Public Education Department (PED) deeply appreciates your commitment to strengthening school board leadership across our state. As a presenter, your role is critical in ensuring that local education leaders receive high-quality training aligned with 22-5-13 NMSA 1978 requirements. This packet provides step-by-step instructions, links, and resources to guide you through the approval, delivery, and reporting process.

1. Course Approval Process

Before delivering a training session, each course must be approved by PED.

Steps:

  1. Complete the PED Presenter/Course Approval Application located in the PED Presenter Packet.
  2. Upload a detailed course blueprint (within the application).
  3. Submit one application per course.
  4. Wait for approval.

2. Post-Training Responsibilities

The presenter will inform each board member to submit an Attendance and Feedback Form located in the PED Presenter Packet at the conclusion of each training course via the QR code provided.

The form collects required information:

  • District & board member information
  • Whether they are a first-year member
  • Training event details (title, category, hours)
  • Engagement & effectiveness ratings (1–5)
  • Reflections on learning
