Operation Graduation

Operation Graduation is New Mexico’s statewide effort to help more students graduate on time.

By providing schools, students, and families with clear information, practical tools, and targeted support, we can help every student stay on track for graduation and prepare for what comes next.

Graduation Starts Now

Graduation is the result of planning, attendance, academic progress, and support throughout a student’s school experience.

Families can make a meaningful difference by checking in regularly, asking questions, and seeking help early when a student begins to fall behind.

Help Your Student Stay on Track

Check Credits
Students must earn the required credits in the right subjects to graduate. Ask your school counselor whether your student is on track.

Focus on Attendance
Missing school can quickly affect grades, credits, and graduation progress. Regular attendance matters every year.

Ask for Help Early
Tutoring, credit recovery, academic support, and other services may be available. Do not wait until senior year to ask for help.

Plan for the Future
Talking early about college, careers, military service, training, or other goals can help students make informed choices throughout high school.

Take the Next Step
Contact your student’s school counselor or administrator to review graduation progress and identify any support your student may need and take the Canvas Course for Parents.

Questions to Ask Your School

  • Is my student on track to graduate?
  • Are all required credits completed or in progress?
  • Are there attendance concerns?
  • Are any assessments or graduation requirements still outstanding?
  • What support is available if my student is behind?
  • What should we be doing now to prepare for life after high school?

Every diploma opens doors to college, careers, training and future opportunities.

Together, we can help more New Mexico students stay on track and graduate on time.
